Hi, I am Chrysi
Yoga is part of my life both as a practitioner as well as a teacher.
My yoga practice is my version of A Room of One’s Own. A space where I can exist freely, without expectations, without the need to be anything other than myself. It is a sanctuary carved out of breath and movement, a quiet space of stillness in a world that constantly pulls in every direction.
I started practicing yoga in 2014. On the mat, I step into a space that belongs only to me. The outside noise fades, the rush of daily life softens, and I am left with the simple truth of the present moment; my breath, my body, my awareness. Here, I do not need permission to take up space. Here, I can listen, feel, and move in a way that is entirely my own.
Like Virginia Woolf’s Room, yoga is not just about physical space but about the inner freedom to explore, to reflect, to be ourselves. In yoga, I find my refuge, my clarity, my way of returning home to myself.
Teaching yoga is my way to give back to the world. I believe that the more the people who practice yoga, the better place our world has the potential to be. I started teaching in 2019, after completing my 200-hours YTT. I bring ideas from yogic philosophy into my asana classes, so my students can experience yoga further than the postures. With their bodies, their souls and their minds.
If this is something that speaks to you I would be happy to meet you on the mat. Namaste.
